Reflecting on real-world campus carry and the evolution of our Charlotte ID.
Observing how our gear performs in daily life is the ultimate test of product design. Returning from our trip to State College for the kickoff of college football season gave clear validation for one of our favorite small-batch builds. Walking through campus and seeing how students manage their daily setup highlighted why compact, versatile carry solutions are so essential.
Almost everyone needed a secure way to hold an ID card, campus access pass, and cash without the bulk of a bag.
The Charlotte ID was engineered specifically for that fast-paced, minimal-carry lifestyle. As shown in our latest workbench walkthrough, we designed it with a quick-access front ID slot, an exterior pocket for primary credit cards, and a smooth zippered main compartment for cash or coins. The side D-ring allows seamless attachment to a wristlet strap or lanyard, turning it into a complete hands-free setup.
Each Charlotte ID is hand-stitched in our New Jersey workshop using rich vegetable-tanned leather, so it gains character with years of daily use. Explore the full video walkthrough and discover why this profile is leading our autumn production schedule.
